Textile Workshops: Felted Soaps

In this workshop, instead of clay, we will use carded sheep's wool to create. Wool is a natural, highly malleable material that allows us to paint and sculpt. Using colorful dyed wool, we will create a design by layering fibers, which we will then use to wrap a bar of soap. You will learn how to use the tool designed to interlock the fine wool fibers, as well as the felting process that ultimately compacts the piece. The result of your creation will be an exfoliating soap sponge featuring an artistic and exclusive design.
